Ingredients

  • 1 vanilla pod, alternative: vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • 2 packs of cream cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • Honey
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 raisin brioche bread
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • powdered sugar (optional)

Preparation Instructions

1.Utensils: sauce pan (Fissler original profi collection), casserole (Fissler original profi serving pan), chef's knife, bread knife (Fissler perfection), cutting board, whisk, cooking spoon

2.Preheat the oven to (350°F). Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the the sugar, vanilla pod and seeds, butter and milk to the saucepan and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, stir in the cream cheese, honey and cornstarch until completely combined and the mixture is smooth.

3.Slice the raisin brioche and layer in the casserole dish. Remove the vanilla pods from the egg mixture and then pour it over the bread. Spread the blueberries out on the bread and bake for about 30 minutes in the oven. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.

4.Tip: If preferred, other berries such as raspberries or strawberries can be used instead of blueberries.
