Professional cooks around the world have been using this cookware for over 30 years, and even Nigella Lawson finds its looks and durability help her to be a “Domestic Goddess.”                   Chef Mark Peel Executive Chef, Owner, Campanile Mark Peel started cooking at the age of 17. He attended UCSB before transferring to the hotel and restaurant department at California Polytechnic University of Pomona where he landed a job peeling vegetables for Chef Wolfgang Puck at Ma Maison restaurant. In addition to the apprenticeship, he was sent to work at two Michelin three-star restaurants, La Tour d’Argents in Paris and Moulin de Mougins in Cannes. In 1979, Mark Peel helped open Michael’s restaurant in Santa Monica, California with Executive Chefs Jonathan Waxman and Ken Frank. A couple years later he began working in the pastry department at the celebrated Chez Panisse in Berkeley under Executive Chef Alice Waters. In 1982, he opened Spago in Los Angeles with Executive Chef Wolfgang Puck and remained Chef de Cuisine there for 3 ½ years until he moved to New York City to revamp Maxwell’s Plum. Chef Peel opened La Brea Bakery and Campanile restaurant in Los Angeles in 1989 with former wife and business partner Nancy Silverton and business partner Manfred Krankl. He co-authored two cookbooks with Nancy Silverton: Mark Peel and Nancy Silverton At Home: Two Chefs Cook for Family and Friends and The Food of Campanile. Mark Peel has four children, Vanessa, Benjamin, Oliver, and Vivien Tiana, and is married to television host and comic Daphne Brogdon.
